Saudi Arabia Bechtel Co. is currently searching for specialists to work on the Jubail Industrial City project in Saudi Arabia. Jubail II will add a second industrial area to house up to 22 new primary industries. The project calls for the expansion of King Fahd Industrial Port, pipeline refurbishment, increasing capacity of the cooling system, and new desalination plants.
Project Engineer
Location: Jubail, Saudi Arabia
SSA/08/PE Accountability:
* Review and comment on design and drawing packages prepared by A/Es;
* Coordinate between disciplines, departments, project teams and return review comments on submittals by the A/E’s for new contract packages;
* Coordinate changes in design to support construction;
* Coordinate DCN’s. Review and ensure quality of A/E submittals;
* Utilize computer and computer codes to review designs performed by A/E’s, if requested;
* Coordinate support to Construction and ensure timely issuing of DCNs, change orders and technical submittals;
* Perform general activities such as preparation of studies, reports and bid packages;
* Coordinate resolution of any engineering issues in a timely manner to avoid impact to construction;
* Monitor schedule of design and ensure timely completion of all activities to support construction and overall EPC schedule.
Key Technical Skills:
* College Graduate with a degree in B.S. in Civil, Structural or Mechanical Engineering will be considered;
* Substantial experience in design, sufficient experience in construction and appropriate experience of coordinating of multi-discipline design and teams;
* Sufficient knowledge of computers to monitor schedule of work and track completion of outstanding design issues;
* Knowledge of industrial infrastructure development and utilities as coordination;
* Relevant university degree required
