Saudi Arabia Bechtel Co. is currently searching for specialists to work on the Jubail Industrial City project in Saudi Arabia. Jubail II will add a second industrial area to house up to 22 new primary industries. The project calls for the expansion of King Fahd Industrial Port, pipeline refurbishment, increasing capacity of the cooling system, and new desalination plants.
Field Electrical Engineer
Location: Jubail, Saudi Arabia
SSA/08/FEE Accountability:
* Monitor contractor Quality Control Program, this includes site inspection for compliance with Contract Documents, approved submittals and electric codes;
* Maintain project safety awareness and enforce company safety policy;
* Coordinate with SEC for review of materials, approval and compliance with SEC standards;
* Facilitate coordination of contractor’s work with third parties, i.e., SEC, MARAFIQ or other public agencies;
* Review and respond to contractors technical queries and coordinate with Engineering Department on technical issues;
* Supervise quantity take-offs;
* Review contractor’s monthly invoices. Review O&M manuals. Monitor as-builts;
* Prepare daily reports on each contractor;
* Provide technical support to the preparation of Field Change Requests and Change Orders;
* Participate in construction progress meetings;
* Participate in final inspection and prepare punch lists;
* Review engineering design packages for constructability issues and lessons learned.
Key Technical Skills:
* College/University Degree in Electrical Engineering with a minimum of at least five (5) years of experience in design, construction, operation and maintenance of high voltage, medium and low voltage power distribution system;
* Experience of electrical power installation for residential buildings;
* Basic working knowledge of Microsoft Word and EXCEL.
