Saudi Arabia Bechtel Co. is currently searching for specialists to work on the Jubail Industrial City project in Saudi Arabia. Jubail II will add a second industrial area to house up to 22 new primary industries. The project calls for the expansion of King Fahd Industrial Port, pipeline refurbishment, increasing capacity of the cooling system, and new desalination plants.
Area Project Manager
Location: Jubail, Saudi Arabia
SSA/08/APM Accountability:
* Plan and execute contracts for all the residential areas in Jubail; the residential areas, at present, comprise Jalmudah, Mutrafiah, Reggah, Mardumah and the new Jubail University College campus. Each of the residential areas has an area of approx. 1000 Ha. and the APM will be responsible for all contracts within these areas, from initiating the projects developing scope with originating departments, AE and in-house design, procurement, construction hand-over and close-out. Some of these areas, Jalmudah and Mutrafiah, are in different phases of development, others are yet to be developed;
* The APM is accountable for achieving his expenditure forecast.
Key Technical Skills:
* College/University degree in Engineering with a minimum of twenty years experience in project/engineering/construction management in civil and/or residential sectors;
* Previous design experience;
* Managerial experience in project and construction planning and budgeting; and possess significant leadership and collaborative skills;
* A proven achiever, with an ability to communicate well and excellent presentation skills coupled with the ability to establish a good rapport with the client;
* A very high level of professional integrity, accountability and initiative;
* Basic working knowledge of personal computer (PC) and its software programs applications.
