Saudi Arabia Bechtel Co. is currently searching for specialists to work on the Jubail Industrial City project in Saudi Arabia. Jubail II will add a second industrial area to house up to 22 new primary industries. The project calls for the expansion of King Fahd Industrial Port, pipeline refurbishment, increasing capacity of the cooling system, and new desalination plants.
Building Mechanical Systems Engineer
Location: Jubail, Saudi Arabia

Accountability:
* Responsible, on behalf of the Client, for reviewing and checking, rejecting, or accepting mechanical systems designs in construction documents under development by independent engineering firms who are carrying out the detailed engineering and design for new and expansion of institutional, commercial, infrastructure, and governmental facilities and buildings;
* Responsible, on behalf of the Client, for reviewing and checking, rejecting, or accepting of products, equipment, and/or materials submittals for projects during construction phase;
* Provide technical guidance to the AE design team, or P&C construction team to ensure the Clients? technical requirements are met and that optimal design with good engineering practice is accomplished;
* Represent the Client in technical meetings, value engineering analysis and is also expected to provide technical support during the construction phase;
* Coordinate and visit the project sites, as required, to verify conditions, resolve design issues, and/or interpret technical documents;
* Accept and implement technical and administrative directions from the group supervisor, as required, and may provide on-the-job training for less-experienced engineers.
Key Technical Skills:
* College graduate with a Bachelor and/or Master Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Buildings? Systems Technology;
* Substantial, post-graduate, experience in the design & construction of mechanical systems (HVAC, plumbing and fire protection), for buildings and facilities, such as large central chilled-water plants, pumps, heat exchangers, cooling towers, air handling units, DDC systems and TAB works, RO-plants, sewage treatment plants, fire pumps, automatic fire suppression systems;
* Hands-on experience in design, experience in products submittal preparation, review and approval, and construction support, testing, inspection & commissioning;
* Adequate knowledge with relevant engineering software for analysis of systems design and equipment selection;
* Adequate knowledge of relevant Codes and Standards such as ANSI, ASME, AWWA, NFPA, ASHRAE, ARI, AMCA, SMACNA, ASE, APE, & CTI etc.
